To the contrary, it was a day that showed we have more illegal immigrants than we know what to do with.

No, this was like the burglar in your house waking you up to tell you he wants you to make him a sandwich, and by the way, could you load up his car with your stuff? What will you do? Make the snack, load him up, unlock your door and wait for more to come?

Yes, some of our favorite places were closed, some businesses could not operate, but guess what? This is America and NO ONE is indespensible. The smart employers will dismiss anyone that did not show up for work and consumers will boycott those businesses that closed in support of amnesty. They can easily be replaced.

These are illegal immigrants and they are demanding their "rights". So - what right does anyone have who has entered this country illegally?

1. The right to a driver’s license in some states

2. The right to emergency medical care

3. Access to public schools for their children

4. Access to public housing

5. Access to many other social services.

6. Access to our legal system when they commit crimes.

We have made a tactical error due to our own beneficence. While Mexico’s best and brightest stay behind to run the country, the universities and businesses, the dregs of their society cross the border to enjoy a life they could never hope to have in the country they love.

The Mexican flags waving at these protests tell you what you need to know about the mindset of these illegals; They want what sugar daddy offers, but their hearts are back home with their good-for-nothing, lazy boyfriend. They will never contribute, much less sacrifice to preserve this country. It’s a meal ticket. Nothing more.

It’s admirable, in a "lowest common denominator" sort of way, to want to provide more for your family, I would definitely want to come to America if I were Mexican, but any honorable man or woman wants to do that. One of the great things about America is that people throughout our history have been willing to sacrifice so others could do better, so others could experience freedom. These people are not even willing to obey our laws - do you think they would sacrifice anything for you?

Take a sober look at what is going on. These are not the teeming masses of immigrants our grandparents came over with. People willing to work hard, proud to be called Americans. These are seething masses, demanding  to be supported, offering, at best, a hyphenated allegiance to this great country.

America can never turn away immigrants. It is our heritage, our bloodline, our strength. But we must turn away criminals. Failure to do so dishonors everyone who followed the rules, and paid the price of citizenship.

We need to seal our southern border now and deport illegal aliens - they can come back - the right way. So - how do you deport 11 million people? The same way they got here - one at a time.

Just for laughs here are some signs from our local amnesty march;
